I recently restarted my subscription of Look Fantastic and my October box came at the beginning of the month.

I kinda get why it’s yellow, but I’m disappointed as it’s Spooky season, I felt we could of gone darker and more autumnal, ideal if it was gothic, but I digress. It is BRIGHT Yellow.

#ECooking Cleansing Gel, 125ml RRP for 200ml is £23.00 so it’s not a bad size but not full size. I personally love ecooking, I’ve tried their multi balm, and peeling face masks and night creams, so I really excited to use this.

I got 2 Bright yellow scrunchies from #TheVintageCosmeticsCompany these are a full size and RRP £6.99. I’m not really a brights kinda gal, or yellow really. But they are made well, and useful so although not ghosts or pumpkins they will do.

#Filorga Oxygen glow cream, only 15ml but a good testing size, RRP for full 50ml is £40.00 this product I tried straight away, as my skin is lacking something, and I like the texture and feel of this, sunk into skin super fast. Pleased with this.

#DrBotanicals Turmeric Mask 30ml half size. For full 60ml size RRP is £14.00 another brand I love and trust faithfully. Looking forward to the weekend to try this out and spoil myself to an evening of luxury.

#PhilipKingsley Bond builder 20ml a full size is 50ml and RRP is £26.00 after rebleaching and dyeing my hair pink, I was so pleased to have this product. Perfect for split ends and to dampen down the fluff.

Last product, well should be. I have a sneaky extra which I’m confused about. But first #Rituals Melhr body cream 70ml not full size but definitely generous full size is 220ml and RRP is £18.50 always a beautiful cream for dry skin, heavenly scented too. Lovely.

So extra product is a black mascara, would you use it? Is this safe?

What a journey, I’ve been nervous, concerned, sore and exhausted, poorly and grieving. This recovery for me has been the biggest roller coaster out of all 10 if my hip surgeries. Biggest emotional trauma.

Since noticing my leg is super long I’ve carried an anxiety around, uncertain of the future, nervous of answers and possible surgery to fix it.But once I saw the surgeon, he has put my mind at rest over the #LLD (Leg Length Discrepancy)

After I showed him and I saw his face, I could see he was slightly concerned at first, until really scanning an x-ray, which actually showed us mechanically I’m only 4mm longer that side. He also reviewed all measurements of the parts from Symbios, against the actual internal measurements of my bones.

So rather we discussed it would be better to wait a year in having a shoe lift which will encourage that hip and adductors to continue to be lazy, I have to walk walk walk and do adduction exercises to encourage the pelvis to straighten out.

He did agree that the cup size was larger as the original one they had dislocated 5 times, so had to be changed to the back up plan one, thank goodness when you have custom hips they have a few options to try out. This cup size is what’s given me the 4mm length overall. So really the hard work begins now.

So back in a year, if the leg really hasn’t gone into a better length then I’m allowed to look at shoe lifts, or possible surgery. Fingers crossed it’s just hard work and time to sort it out.

I’m really enjoying getting back to walking, although it’s not easy or far yet, it’s still a step in the right direction.

Using 1 crutch we ambled around at the pace of a snail really, but it felt nice and grounding to be out of the house. Mind definitely thinks I can do more than I can, thankfully Mr Moon is far more realistic and knew exactly when we should stop.

Paths are well worn and though uneven, aren’t too awful to walk along, just providing a challenge enough for me.

Had to have a sit down, super grateful for benches dotted around here. Usually with stunning views too.

So far only doing this once a week, I would like to build up stamina and do more, but for now I except this is all I can do for now.

Once home I notice the ache and heavy feeling again in the thigh. Feels fat at the top, so it’s clearly swelling too still.

So it’s hospital tomorrow for my 6 week post op review, though technically I’ll be almost 9 weeks post op. Nervous as ever to what they will say. But for now it’s rest rest rest today.
