Saw the dentist about the broken tooth, nothing can be done, except hospital to remove it in 12-18mths time. But at least it confirmed there’s no infection, and surgery can go ahead.

So Pre Op time, its usually it’s a time to discuss medication you are already on, fears and hopes about the surgery and recovery plan.

Weight and Height are measured, and usually bloods, Blood pressure, maybe a Urine sample and Mrsa swabs too.

I take my prescription in, so they can see what I usually take daily.

I have to stop Etoricoxib a day before my surgery. This time they checked elbows and back, and feet for skin quality.

I’m allowed to take my Vit D and Magnesium as usual though. Glad I asked.

We discussed the fragile teeth and how to tie the tube to save my front teeth from breaking again. Felt more confident once that was discussed.

We discussed the furniture requirements possibly needed, as sofa and bed need to be a particular height.

Happy to be given the full mot and all clear to go ahead, as long as my test comes back negative, mine will be a postal one as I live further from the hospital.

Now it feels real, and of course I got the beautiful shower, hair wash I need to use.
